சிதம்பரம் – கடலூர் சாலையில் ஆலப்பாக்கம் ரயில்வே கேட் அருகில் பூ விற்கும் பெண்களை வழக்கமாக புதுச்சத்திரம் காவலர்கள் குறிப்பாக ஆய்வாளர் ரவிச்சந்திரன், உதவி ஆய்வாளர் அண்ணாமலை, சண்முகம் ஆகியோர் ஆபாசமாக திட்டி விரட்டியடிப்பார்களாம்.
அதுபோல வியாழன் (31-3-2016) மாலை 6 மணியளவில் புதுச்சத்திரம் காவல் நிலையத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஏழு காவலர்கள், விரட்டியடிக்கும் போது கீழ் அனுவம்பட்டு கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த புஷ்பா(38) க/பெ மணிவேல் என்ற பெண் ரயிலில் அடிபட்டு இறந்து விட்டார். இறந்த புஷ்பாவின் கணவர் மணிவேல் ஒரு மாற்றுத் திறனாளி. இவர்களுக்கு பாரதிராஜா, பார்த்திபன் என்ற மகன்களும், மோனிகா, மேனகா என்ற மகள்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
இந்நிலையில் புஷ்பா தானாக ரயிலில் போய் மோதி இறந்துவிட்டார்; அது ஒரு விபத்து என போலீஸார் வழக்கு பதிய மறுத்து உறவினர்களிடம் வற்புறுத்தி கையெழுத்து வாங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். இதை எதிர்த்து போலீஸார் மீது வழக்கு பதியக் கோரி விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியினர் சாலை மறியல் போராட்டம் நடத்தினர்.
Flower seller chased by police and hit by train:
Dalit woman Pushpa (38) from Keezh Anuvampattu village near Chidambaram, Cuddalore district was selling flowers at Alapakkam railway level crossing gate. Last night at around 7 police personnel from Puduchathiram police station chased Pushpa and other flower sellers when the police came to the area to attend some accident. While fleeing from the police Pushpa hit by a speeding train and died on the spot. VCK cadres staged road roko demanding action against the police. Later Pushpa’s brother in law was threatened to receive the body and forced to sign papers accepting that her death was an accident. Pushpa’s husband is mentally challenged, they have four kids and she is the sole bread winner of the family. Today VCK district leaders are meeting with the SP.
